Will I be given a meal plan?
Yes! I have a recipe book with 30 recipes, all designed to taste great AND help you lose weight
It's also important that you learn which foods and meals work for you, and to understand the basics of good nutrition. So I'll give you guidance on this and a structure to follow
I don’t exercise, do I need to start?
Moving your body daily is one of the best ways to improve your overall health, and if you don't currently do anything then the benefits you'll feel from just doing a little will be significant! Everyone is different, but I'll talk to you about what you do now and what is possible, and we'll agree some activity goals for you. This could be increasing your daily steps, or starting a strength routine, it all depends on you!
Will I need to track calories?
Calorie tracking isn't for everyone, and you can lose weight without doing it. However I do find that tracking calories for a short time to start with is really good to build your awareness of what different foods & drinks contain, and how big a portion is. There are various apps you can use to help, I recommend My Fitness Pal.
What about alcohol?
This is really up to you! Alcohol has no positive health benefits, contains empty calories that will slow down your weight loss, and tends not to lead to the positive behaviours associated with losing weight. I certainly won't tell you to give up, but just be aware of how it affects you, and if you don't compromise here, you'll have to compromise somewhere else to get to your goal.
Can I still eat out?
Of course! Eating out with friends or family is one of life's pleasures and you absolutely don't need to give this up. Depending on how often you eat out you may need to make different choices about what you eat, we can talk about this in our 1-1's.
Is there a minimum commitment?
I recommend 3 months minimum as the people who commit for this long (or longer) usually get the best, most sustainable results.
